Ballon d’Or is organised by the French magazine France Football and has been awarded since 1956. For the first time in 20 years, neither Lionel Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo were nominated for this prestigious award. Between them they have won 13 Ballon d’Or!

Rodri was part of the team that beat England in the Euro 2024 final in Germany in July. He plays for Manchester City and is the first ever player in the club’s history to win the Ballon d’Or.
