The Junior Age

Mann Vs Burpees

Indian athlete Mann Sharma, with a cause, created history by completing the world's first-ever Burpee Marathon, covering an astonishing 42.195 kilometres. The Junior Age had the privilege of partnering with a wonderful cause organised by Fit India and supported by the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The event took place from October 6 to 15, 2025, at the New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.  Over nine determined days, Mann completed an entire marathon distance through burpee broad jumps, marking a milestone in global endurance sport. This unprecedented feat has been officially recognised by the World Book of Records, setting a new global record that surpasses the previous benchmark of 5.1 kilometres, a record Mann himself had broken on the very first day of his challenge. Mann trained for months, focusing on stamina, strength and mental discipline. His efforts were driven by a deeper purpose. Mann dedicated the record to raising awareness and funds for the education of underprivileged children through The One Friend NGO. “Every burpee was for the children whose dreams deserve a chance,” Mann said, highlighting the purpose behind his world-record attempt. At the closing ceremony, Mann was formally recognised for his historic achievement. Organised by Question Associates with Fit India and supported by SAI, including Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports and Ms Divyata Shergill, Founder of The Junior Age.
