Share Your Junior Age Story
We’d love to hear how The Junior Age has become a part of your child’s reading and learning journey. Every family experiences it differently, and your story can inspire many more children to start reading, thinking and exploring the world around them.We are inviting both parents and children to share honest experiences through a short video testimonial. Whether it is a favourite section, something new your child learned, or simply the joy of waiting for each issue, every voice matters.
What you need to do:
Record a short video of your child, or record together as a parent and child, sharing your experience with The Junior Age. The video does not need to be perfect. What matters most is that it feels natural and genuine.
What can you talk about:
To make it easy, here are a few prompts. You can guide your child to answer any two or three of these questions:
1. What do you like most about The Junior Age?
2. Which section do you enjoy the most, and why?
3. Did you learn something new from it, and what was it?
4. Do you look forward to reading it, and why?
5. Why should other children/their friends read The Junior Age?
Note: Parents are also welcome to share what they have observed, such as changes in reading habits, curiosity or learning.
Video Guidelines :
To help us feature your video clearly, please follow these simple tips:
Duration : Keep the video between 20 to 40 seconds. Short and natural works best.
Orientation : Record in vertical (portrait mode), as this works best for mobile viewing and social media.
Lighting : Choose a well-lit space, preferably with natural daylight. Make sure the light falls on the child’s face and avoid dark backgrounds or strong backlight.
Audio : Record in a quiet environment without background noise such as television, traffic or loud fans. Ensure the voice is clear and easy to understand.
Framing :ow the child from the chest up, keep the camera steady, and encourage them to look at the camera while speaking.
Background : A clean background works well. Even better, you can have your child hold or flip through The Junior Age while speaking.
Keep it natural
Avoid over-rehearsing. Let children speak in their own words, as authentic and simple responses always stand out.
Selected videos may be featured in The Junior Age, on our website and across our social media platforms. Some participants may also receive special rewards or benefits.
How to submit : Email us your video at info@thejuniorage.com. Make sure the video meets the guidelines above so it can be considered for featuring.
