World Happiness Report 2026: Finland Tops The List Again!

Every year, experts try to understand an interesting question: which country has the happiest people in the world? To find the answer, researchers study how satisfied people feel about their lives, their health, their income, and the support they receive from their communities. These findings are published in the World Happiness Report 2026, a global study that highlights how wellbeing differs from one country to another. The latest report has once again revealed which nations lead the world in happiness.

Finland Named Happiest Country As Per World Happiness Report 2026:

The World Happiness Report 2026 is released every year to mark the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness (March 20) and is published by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network. The report ranks countries based on how happy people feel about their lives. This year, Finland has once again been named the happiest country in the world for the ninth year in a row. Other countries in the top 10 include Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and Norway, and Costa Rica. The rankings are based on factors such as social support, income, health, freedom, and trust in society. India is ranked 116th out of 147 countries, showing a slight improve￾ment but still placing lower than many countries, including some of its neighbours like Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The report highlights that strong communities, good public services, and balanced lifestyles play an important role in happiness, while stress and excessive social media use can reduce well-being, especially among young people.
