India’s young boxers delivered a strong performance at the World Boxing Futures Cup U19 2026 held in Bangkok, Thailand, winning five medals across different weight categories. The tournament featured under-19 athletes from several countries competing in high-intensity bouts, giving young boxers valuable international experience. India finished the event with 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals and 1 bronze medal, highlighting the country’s growing strength in youth boxing.

Gold medal
- Chandrika Pujari – Women’s 51 kg
Won the final with a dominant 5–0 unanimous decision, securing India’s only gold medal at the event.
Silver medals
- Gunjan – Women’s 48 kg
Reached the final with strong earlier victories but finished with silver after a points defeat in the title bout.
- Joyshree Devi Chirom – Women’s 54 kg
Advanced to the final with confident performances but settled for silver after losing on points in the final.
- Ambekar Meetei Lairenlakpam – Men’s 50 kg
Delivered an impressive run to the final before earning silver following a close decision loss in the championship bout.
Bronze medal
- Radhamani Longjam – Women’s 57 kg
Reached the semi-finals and secured bronze after a competitive bout ended in a points defeat.
