North London is celebrating after Arsenal F.C. won the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years. Arsenal secured the championship after defending champions Manchester City F.C. were held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth, leaving Arsenal impossible to catch at the top of the table. The victory marks Arsenal’s 14th English league title and their first since the famous “Invincibles” season of 2004 under legendary manager Arsène Wenger.
22 years later – Arsenal wins the Premier League Champions title:
The team was guided by manager Mikel Arteta, a former Arsenal captain who became head coach in 2019. After several seasons of rebuilding and near misses, Arteta’s side finally lifted the Premier League trophy in the 2025–26 season. Arsenal had beaten Burnley 1-0 before Manchester City dropped points against Bournemouth, officially confirming the club as champions with one match still left to play.
The triumph is especially meaningful for Arsenal fans because the club had come close to winning the title in recent years but finished behind Manchester City several times. This season, Arsenal stayed near the top of the table for most of the campaign, with players like Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Martin Ødegaard and William Saliba playing important roles in the title-winning run.
