How to Identify Green Crackers?

You can spot green crackers easily. They come with green logos and QR codes that let you verify their authenticity.

There are three main types of green firecrackers:

  • SWAS (Safe Water Releaser): These crackers release water vapour into the air to cut down dust. They produce 30% less smoke and contain no sulphur or potassium nitrate.
  • STAR (Safe Thermite Cracker): STAR crackers skip potassium nitrate and sulphur, making them quieter and cleaner than regular firecrackers.
  • SAFAL (Safe Minimal Aluminium): SAFAL crackers use less aluminium and more magnesium, so they are louder than SWAS and STAR but still much quieter than traditional firecrackers, keeping the fun alive with less noise and smoke.
