With this achievement, Lipin Ete became the first athlete from Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast region of India to win medals at this prestigious tournament. The USA Open Karate Championship is one of the largest karate competitions in the world, attracting top martial artists from across the globe.

At the 2026 event, more than 3,500 athletes from around 40 countries participated, representing regions including the United States, Europe and Asia.
