Neanderthals Were A Lot Like Humans

May 2, 2024 admin

According to a recent study, Neanderthals organised their living spaces slightly like modern humans do. Until now it was believed that Neanderthals were primitive and not as advanced as Homo sapiens.

Researchers analysed sites of Neanderthals and Homo sapiens in northwest Italy and compared how things like stone tools and animal bones were spread around the space. They found that Neanderthals were just as good as Homo sapiens at organising their respective spaces.

They also discovered that Neanderthals used different areas of their homes for different activities, just like modern humans have bedrooms and kitchens. They even had a specific spot for a fireplace and a rubbish bin. However, Neanderthals used their homes less than modern humans do.
